Ø            Aural Aids:
Use sense of hearing
Three types of aural aids :
1.      Science Broadcasts
2.      Gramophone
3.      Tape Recording
1.                  Science Broadcasts:
Radio broadcasting program related to Science is broadcasted like Scientific talk for students & teachers
It is broadcasted by All India Radio
                        Suggestions:
School should have good radio set
                              Provision in timetable for broadcasting
                              Avaibility of recording programmes
                             Sitting arrangement for students
Science teacher should refer broadcast in teaching
2.                  Gramophone:
Advantage of records of short talk of eminent scientists & doctors
Columbia gramophone Co.Ltd. prepares such records
3.                  Tape Recordings:
Modern substitute of gramophone
Talk or lecture is magnetized or recorded on a tape
Inspiring words uttered by a scientists or some V.I. P.
Once recorded can be used again & again
Used for lower classes
1.      Flannel graph or Flannel Board:

-         Frequent change is desirable
-         Activities of the school science club
-         Serve as a wall magazine of Science club
-         Excel bulletin board activities may be awarded prizes

3.      Periodic Table:
Need of Periodic table:
-         Classification of elements based on properties  - physical properties of the elements, chemical properties of the elements
-         Classification of elements based on electronic configuration
Objectives of Teaching Periodic Table:
-         To develop understanding of classification of elements
-         To explain the basis on which the modern periodic table is constructed
-         To develop the concept of periodicity & graduation in the properties of elements
-         To describe the various blocks of elements in terms of the type of orbital occupied by electrons
